Bridge ("Bridge," "we," "us," or "our") is a peer-to-peer financial wallet and local marketplace platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with transparency and care. By using Bridge — whether to move money locally, be your own wallet, or live your market — you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the platform:

• Account Information: Name, username, email address, phone number, and profile details you provide when creating an account.
• Financial Information: Wallet balance data, transaction history, deposit and withdrawal records, and payment method details processed through our payment partners (e.g., Stripe).
• Identity Verification: Government-issued ID or other verification data required to comply with financial regulations (KYC/AML).
• Marketplace Activity: Listings you post, purchases you make, offers you submit, and your location data (fuzzed ±400m) when you post or search listings.
• Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and interaction logs to operate and improve the platform.
• Communications: Messages or support requests you send to us.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and secure your Bridge wallet and transactions
• Process deposits, withdrawals, sends, and marketplace purchases
• Verify your identity and comply with applicable financial laws
• Enable peer-to-peer transfers and local marketplace activity
• Send transactional notifications (receipts, alerts, confirmations)
• Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security
• Improve our product and develop new features
• Respond to your support requests

3. SMS / Mobile Messaging

We may send you SMS messages strictly for transactional or security purposes — such as verification codes, transaction alerts, or account notifications. We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing or promotional use. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of non-essential SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, Mapbox for location services, cloud infrastructure providers). These partners are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Other Bridge Users: Your public username and marketplace listing details are visible to other users as part of normal platform operation.
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Bridge, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

5. Location Data

When you post a marketplace listing, we collect your approximate location to enable local search. Coordinates are intentionally fuzzed by up to ±400 meters before being stored to protect your precise location. Users searching nearby listings see only approximate distances, not your exact address.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for up to seven (7) years as required by applicable financial regulations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credentials, and access controls to protect your information. Sensitive actions within the app require PIN authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of certain data uses
• Receive a portable copy of your data

9. Children's Privacy

Bridge is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the platform or by email if the changes are material. Your continued use of Bridge after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
